Mill Street Barracks in St Helen’s is now used by St Helen’s Sea Cadets but its past is one which sometimes remains a mystery! The building has quite an eerie atmosphere and after a 8 year break we are pleased to be returning to this very active location!
Cellars always hold a foreboding atmosphere but in the Barracks it is the scene of much paranormal activity! Our last visit our group was conducting a séance in the Cellar and our medium was calling out when a member of our team heard and felt a breath right by her, this was also witnessed by the people around her.
We are the original group that investigated this location over a very long period and never failed to pick up ghostly foot steps,evp screams and apparitions. Working with a team that was based there as cadets and then officers gave them and the paranormal team an insight into the building history. We have the history unknown by any other team that has investigated this location. This is a highly active location and one which we are really looking forward to returning.

The 100-year-old George and Dragon pub, an imposing Victorian black-and-white building seemingly haunted by the spirits of long-dead Roman soldiers, regularly attracts psychics and paranormal investigators. Landlords and regulars of the pub have heard the drum of marching feet beneath the floors and above following the route of the old Roman road. The pub occupies a site straddling the old Roman road leading out from the north gate of the fortress. Roman military law forbade the burial of legionaries within the fortress, and so memorials to the dead lined the roads immediately outside. When investigating the George and Dragon, the matching sound seems loudest in the cellars, closer to the original Roman ground level, which once stood several feet below the modern surface we now walk on. The George and Dragon is now a hotel and certain rooms within the floors do give off that eerie feeling when you walk in. Many of the hotel guests have said it disembodied eyes. While on our visit a guest claimed certain things had gone missing a few moments after unpacking which made her slightly cautions about staying.Room 31 seems most active and can be booked after the investigation, the Inn does have the reputation of a ghost of a Roman Centurion could he be the one staying in that room with you on the night. The sound of him has been heard on all floors going through the length of the building which is again split into many rooms and as he walks the walls dont seem to impede the footsteps or the sound from his matching.
